I don’t think that what your are doing is correct. With the floor that has a valley so deep why not remove subfloor and investigate? 1/4 inch okay, but 1 inch no good. There is and issue more than spreading self leveler.

Too much water & it’s running away into a gap under the baseboard. If you ain’t taking off the baseboards, need to seal or tape them off, to prevent the run away leak

Bro half that self leveller is probably in the basement. Maybe put foam to block it by the baseboards so it doesn’t escape..
