@jordanjeppe: No one teaches you how to do that part. They just tell you to “self-soothe” and move on. But self-soothing only works when your body actually knows how to stay with the feeling… and most of us were never shown how to do that in real time. So we keep going back to what does feel regulating — reassurance, clarity, connection. Not because we’re doing something wrong…but because it’s the only thing our body has learned to trust. #slowburn #relationships
