@squirrel.boxes: Sometimes I sit back and think about how many little lives have passed through these trees over the years. Some stayed for a season, some for years, and some only long enough to leave a mark on my heart forever. What started as simply trying to help one squirrel turned into building a place where they could feel safe, warm, and protected from a world that can be so hard on something so small. There is something special about watching a tired little squirrel finally relax inside a box after fighting wind, rain, predators, and long nights outside. To most people it may just look like a squirrel resting, but to me it means they made it through another day. Every box hanging in these trees represents hope to me. A second chance. A safe place to sleep. A place for babies to grow up and mothers to raise their little ones without fear. These moments remind me that even the smallest acts of kindness can change an entire life.
