Ill say it again man, but how was this movie considered a "comedy". I mean sure it could be seen as "comedic" for this man dating a doll. However if you truly understood the movie you would know none of this would be considered comedic. It's about a man working through suppressed trauma and connecting with the world again when he was never taught how to express himself or even connect to others, AND it even goes deeper than just that. With Gus, his way of coping was avoidance. While lars had no choice but to live with his father, who obviously was not a good caretaker at all it seems, so his way of coping was 'avoidance' however in the way that he avoided people he cared for, and his own emotions. I love this movie so much, and I need more people to talk about it. lars means everyrhing to me🌻✨️
