If I were in a good financial position as she is my greatest, and most desired gift would be to help my children obtain the same thing! What a sad day that I would want to live off my children, I would want to help them so that they have no bills and can pay off their loans too! This is insane

i did the best thing with my parents we split the bills in 3 and everyone was saving $$ . This generation is in titled. I had 15k saved at 22 years old in 2000 with is valued 30k today .

he made it clear before comin back "home" he was payin down debt.. why become another debt to him?? yes its just one bill.. but said bills weren't a problem when the convo was had.. not til later.. it's kinda goin back on the "agreement" to ask to him for money..

I would say - come on home! Get your student loan bills paid off and maybe throw a little toward groceries, but otherwise, just having them home would be great with me.

If you are taking rent because you plan to give it all back when they move out, I see nothing wrong with that. If you take money for rent because you are using it towards your mortgage etc, thats ridiculous. They should be paying for their own car, insurance, phone bill, their own food and contributing to utilities like water and electric. But rent, no.
