@dailyknowledge.io: The viral “weather boy” clip came from a local FOX 5 Las Vegas segment featuring reporter Ted Pretty. During what seemed like a normal weather interaction, a child suddenly responded with the now-iconic line, “Wouldn’t you like to know, weather boy?” in a surprisingly aggressive tone that made the moment instantly hilarious online. What made the clip spread so quickly was how real and awkward it felt, with many viewers believing it was an actual live-TV mishap. But the exchange was later revealed to be a staged joke — the child was actually Ted Pretty’s own son, and the interaction had been planned beforehand to look spontaneous. Even after people learned it was intentional, the clip continued going viral because it perfectly captured the chaotic energy of awkward local news moments. Years later, “weather boy” is still one of the internet’s most quoted and recognizable meme clips. Like this content? Follow @dailyknowledge.io 💫
