I think the show does a better job setting up Kimiko and Ryan staying together in the end. Kimiko would understand what it’s like to be seen only as a weapon in addition to them both having nobody left by the end of the series

It felt like the writers were scared to keep something unwritten. It also seemed like Eric Kripke was so focused on preparing the prequel and giving his supernatural cast friends some air time.

Thank you. You understand why it’s important to have a good team in a creative project. A clever idea clearly came up in brainstorming, but because someone clearly dropped the ball in scripting/story boarding/editing/etc, the concept doesn’t land

Ryan was so underdeveloped, it makes me sad. He was ALWAYS the most interesting character in the show to me from a conceptual level, but they just repeatedly failed to do anything with him.

I saw someone point out that this season has major issues with use of dramatic irony. The show conflates what we, the audience, know with what the characters know. The example that I saw was the Boys having 0 plan for soldier boy, who they had no reason to expect not to be there
