Maybe keep the kitchen just take the oven out and give her a mini fridge? At 16 my parents let me use the basement as a practice apartment. I couldn’t cook but I bought my own food and kept them in my “kitchen” I loved it and it helped prepare me for moving out

When I turned 16 my mom asked me if I want a compete bedroom makeover & I said no, I want a gym membership lol. It was the 80’s & everybody was into fitness lol. I utilized that gym membership a ton. The room would of been nice but I did t spend much time in it what with all my sports & stuff lol
