What she’s not telling you is that corporate profits get taxed multiple times. 9% income tax to the state, 21% income tax to the federal government, then the shareholder pays 12% state income tax and 10-37% federal capital gains tax. So that’s a minimum of 50% tax on the profit of a corporation.

I understand a larger tax for larger companies but we do realize that in her example the small business would pay .10 in tax and the big would pay 45 million.

Companies will figure out how to lower their profit then to get the lower taxes. No matter what you do to corporations they can figure out how to keep their money and really why do you get penalized for being successful they can hire more people!

So if you make $500 million you pay $44 million just to the state of California. If you make $1 you pay $.08 to the state. I think corporations are paying enough.
