The thing with Paris, she never said anything that was considered TERF rhetoric. It was her comment section that was spouting TERF rhetoric. Could she off policed her comment section a little better? Yes. But people went straight for the juggler and called her all sorts of names. We have a big problem in progressive spaces of not being able to convey our feelings maturely without turning it into a hate train. Trans right is very important, but no one gave Paris a chance

I don’t think you realise the difference here though. There’s so much difference in the type of trans exclusionary behaviour here and I feel ur associating Paris’ behaviour with the British / jk Rowling style when it really isn’t. It’s a very distinct different transphobia that is extremely common in America. Which is why this video kinda seems pointless imo

Tbh we can and should be criticising both sides of this discourse because there is absolutely a concerningly large amount of transphobic people/terfs defending Paris however so so many people are being openly homophobic and racist towards her. Imo she (like I'm pretty sure almost everyone else has) has some opinions I don't personally agree with and that a lot of people don't agree with. That being said (and please do correct me if I'm wrong) she isn't openly trans and hasn't said anything of the sort, it's mainly just terfs in her comments (who btw I do not think it is reasonable of her to police, yes she could filter out certain words but given the overlap between language used by terfs and non-terf feminists that would be so unbelievably limiting). Obviously I might be incorrect I haven't watched every video she's ever made to check if she is being transphobic, but silence on trans issues (or any issue you do not know enough about to speak on) doesn't inherently mean you are a terf? Favouring conversations about things like fgm and child marriage etc is absolutely okay if you are more knowledgeable on those topics.

My friend who is on the waiting list was informed that the waiting list was over 200 years long. It would be quicker to get German citizenship, get on their waiting list, and fully transition than to get a first appointment where we are.

it's so upsetting because in 2022 they ruled this for nonbinary people and then a year later it now affects all trans people, and it's probably gonna get worse for the rest of the queer community in the years to come

I’m not on the other side of this argument but that statistic about wait times is ridiculous and undermines your point. How could the wait times average jump from 9 months 25 years within 10 years. 25 years haven’t even passed to make that a realised statistic, which would suggest the NHS are booking appointments 25 years in the future (some further in the future for the average to be born out). The tiniest bit of interrogation discredits it.
