Unless that’s a bike path it’s illegal to ride a bike on the sidewalk. And paths for walking and biking usually have a hash mark like a street.

the walkways are to be shared. with both pedestrian and riders. its no different when you see bicyclists riding down the street side by side. when car come by you go in a single file. Same when on walkways.
