@buildwithvictor_: Wrong vs right drip emitter installation… or is it? 👀 I got a few comments saying putting the emitter at the end of the micro tubing was wrong… so I tried both methods. Honestly… after installing both, they felt more similar than I expected. Both methods are commonly used depending on the setup. Which one would you use and why? 👇 #dripirrigation #irrigation #gardentips #diyprojects #landscaping

At the end so if it gets clogged you can cut it off and put a new one without having to dig anything up.

The difference is where you drop pressure. You can't start with a dripper then run 20ft of 1/4" tube, but you can if the dripper is at the end. With 6" runs, no difference.

I’m having leaks where I punch into the 1/2 inch tubing with the 1/4 barbed piece. Any tips for that?

I would install the emitter first to prevent dirt from clogging it.

I never use spaghetti tube bc it’s prone to breaking. The set-up will last much longer without it. It’s easy enough to weave the 1/2” line near or around each plant.

I use a hunter rotor key as a punch. I never have leaks.

Using coupler and emitter is doubling the chance of failure ;due to calcium build up . Calcium Can happen on coupler or emitter however the build up may never happen . My opinion.

Put it at the end of the tubing, changing the emitter at the end is easier for changing the amount of water you want the plant

If in the future there is a leak sometimes dirt get in the pipe so if you install the drip in the pipe the dirt will plug the drip
