@becoming_motherhood: I wanted to share this last month in April when it was Cesarean section awareness month, but it still brings so many emotions, so I kept putting it off. It’s so sad when your dreams of birth are taken from you and even worse your daughter gets hurt along the way. We were under extreme circumstances, so even though I often feel upset about the way things went I simultaneously feel super thankful for the doctors who helped us. And eternally grateful for a God who heals. I never realized there can be so much trauma around birth until I experienced it myself and I know so many other woman have traumatic stories as well. Birth is a beautiful experience, but often scary as well.
