HERE’S MY THING right? I could understand if this was like “Jax is based off my younger self and his arc is a reflection of how I developed as a person over time to not be as much of the shitheel I feel like I saw”. I could kind of understand that. But that doesn’t feel like that’s what this is.

In my opinion, this show would have been SO much better if it actually focused on other characters. I would *love* for Kinger to get more development and some further depth to his character- let us know more about "Grant". Gangle is so criminally underutilized too- she has so much potential for character growth and self-realization. We could have seen Ragatha's slow decline in her will. POMNI need more, and she's the main character. I don't think we could do much with Zooble considering their character being fairly flat until episode like 7.

There’s no explanation that makes the show not bad. “It would’ve been better with more episodes” yeah well who chose to only make it a mini series? All of the problems are goose’s choice, she chose not to give jax any redeeming qualities, she chose to make the entire show about him despite pomni being the main character, she chose to make the writing dog shit

“I’m not trying to be mean” I am. Jax is a bad person. Has been since the pilot. He could’ve been the average asshole goofy guy character like they seemed to be trying SO HARD to be pushing him to be from the start but they just… Didn’t do it right. And it’s because Goose doesn’t want to think about the fact that if she is Jax, she is a bad person who needs growth. Jax doesn’t get growth because Goose doesn’t want to grow.

I really think it says a lot about Gooseworx that she shelved her main female characters for Jax. Both Pomni and Ragatha were supposed to be central and neither of them were really ever spoken on because there was so much focus on Jax

I really wanted the show to focus on AI and humanity learning to co-exist, with a gentle side of SOMA. Pomni and Caine as the mains, with genuine development for the rest of the cast (there are so few to begin with). It needed to be longer and the characters needed development. The concept was too big for a short series, so it feels half realised and unfinished.

sooo many of her old tweets came back to haunt her 😭😭 I also don't think so many people would've been mad about it feeling like Jax suddenly became a mc if she hadn't made that one tweet that made it look like each character was gonna get their own specific episode focused on them💔 (or if it was more obvious near the beginning of the show itself he was gonna be a main focus but yk,, Im just saying I don't think that tweet helped 😭)
