I do this when I get stressed, but I just call it the zoomies. I didn't know it was actually a thing.

Bummer. My ruminating thoughts hit when I am laying down for bed. I think sprinting would wake me up even more and defeat the purpose of why I am doing it.

This is so helpful and resonates. Looking back, some of the moments when I felt the most reactive weren't because I needed another insight. I needed movement. I needed to get out of my head and back into my body.I've noticed that when I move, walk, exercise, or even just let myself cry, something softens. The charge isn't gone because I "fixed" it. It's gone because I finally allowed my body to process what it had been carrying. Healing has taught me that the nervous system needs care too...not just the mind 🧡.

Could this be the reason whenever i’m feeling overwhelmed, I love to dance to very complex cardio aggressive choreography!? Thinking out loud 🤔 Thank you Dr for sharing!! Sending love to you and everyone on their journey - Luz

I learnt this about 6 months asap from chat gpt and it has changed my life!! Breathing and calm thoughts does nothing for me. I need to run or work out really hard to close the emotional loop it really helps.

get a skipping rope!! double unders, you've gotta jump super high, the explosiveness works WONDERS. is crying the release? I'm new to tears, I release them to reset my neurochemistry. feeling exhausted after like I need a nap is really annoying, I'm assuming it's unavoidable?

What if you're gasping for air and your jaw and chest hurt and have to sit or lay day? How can this be adapted for people who can't do it yet?

David Weeks | Trauma Recovery :
I came across a paper that found HIIT cardio to be really good for improving vagal tone because it repeatedly challenges the nervous system and then forces it to recover quickly afterward. Can’t remember if off the top of my read but I’m pretty sure it’s recent
