@auspiceperegrinus: And even if he got along with children in the past, I think about how he could only be this way now, since has so much experience. He has matured quite a bit, and he gives the type of advice that he couldn’t have when he was Kabukimono, it’s not “he’s becoming who he once was again” it’s more of he’s growing into a new wonderful person of the present, and of course he shows the kindness of his past as he wasn’t born and evil or cool person. It was nature versus nurture, but I enjoy seeing how that manifest in who he is currently!
