Had a couple ask one time how long it would take I said with no rain 4 days and with rain up to a week. we worked 15 hrs days two days before the rain came in and was told we did it in two days not 4 so he was only paying half the price since it took us half the time.

Would it not be better to actually charge the customer a fair price instead of what you originally bid? When I do a Printing job that doesn't take as long as I thought it would I just reduce the price.

I have had a few squabbles over telling people to hire me by the hour . they adamantly choose a negotiated price over hourly but then try to talk you down because you got it done quicker than expected.
