@evertrailtours: Ryukyu Mura is designed as a recreated Ryukyu-era village using authentic traditional houses that were actually relocated from different parts of Okinawa rather than built as replicas. Several of the homes are registered cultural properties, giving the park real historical value beyond being a theme attraction. The village also preserves daily-life traditions that are fading elsewhere, such as sugarcane pressing, traditional weaving, and folk performances, and it regularly hosts one of Okinawa's longest-running daily eisa dance shows, performed in an open-air setting much like it would have been in the past.
I love that place! I did a whole photography project on it.

I didn’t know about this park! There’s a park like this in Ishigaki called squirrel monkey forest. My nephew was invited by the Sanshin players to join them in a performance while we were there!
