@stunner101_proof: August 3, 1997. One piledriver almost changed wrestling history forever. At SummerSlam 1997, Stone Cold Steve Austin landed directly on his head after a botched piledriver from Owen Hart, leaving him temporarily paralyzed in the middle of the ring. Somehow, Austin still finished the match and won the Intercontinental Title. If Austin’s career ended that night, there’s no Attitude Era as we know it. No Austin vs. McMahon. No RAW ratings explosion. No wrestling boom that took the WWF from fighting for survival to dominating pop culture. One match literally changed the business forever. 🍺💀
It did change it forever. Austin Career was still cut short by atleast 5 yrs.

Not much would've changed actually. Rock, Undertaker, DX, etc. still become huge stars/legends. WCW still implodes bc it was a circus. Wwe still wins the Monday night wars. At the end of the day, Austin was just more t-shirt sales.
