We are loving our time in Egypt! • You don’t see people splitting the bill when they go out to eat or at a cafe like in Canada. Usually it’s a fight over who is paying the bill here! • Driving in Egypt is next level. You really have to go with the flow of traffic and not follow typical rules and laws. Fun fact about the sailor’s invitation origins, sailors in the Nile would pass each other, or pass by people on the shore, while eating. So, out of politeness, they would invite the people to eat with them, telling them, "come dine with us" which was almost impossible, since they were on different boats, or the sailor was on a boat while the other party was on shore

to clear confusion, the sailors invitation does not include insisting, if the person insists or tells you clearly " this is not sailors invitation" in that case its not sailors invitation 😁 enjoy your time in my beloved Egypt
