@jordsashleiigh: Still obsessing over Anne Boleyn 500 years later. Found in my drafts, something abit different from me but a strong interest of mine. #tudor #anneboleyn #History #storytime
I’ve always had a keen interest in Anne Boleyn and it turns out our family goes back to her.

I know it's crazy but sometimes I wonder if Ann was actually guilty of the things Henry accused her of. He's portrayed as a mad tyrant, but that could have been conspiracy 🤔 We'll never know for certain.

I always think of all these important women through history and how they were seen as political pawns and “brood mares”. It makes me incredibly sad but also incredibly grateful that I have the autonomy and freedoms to live my life exactly how I wish.

Love anything Tudor related…especially Anne and Mary B. However I was somewhat distracted here as I was trying to figure out why you were painting a baby bell throughout 😂 (I know it’s not actually a baby bell!)

If Queen Elizabeth had married then her husband back then would technically have more power than her, so it’s communally believed that’s why she didn’t marry and then obviously ‘couldn’t’ have children out of wedlock as they wouldn’t be recognised as heirs

A historian by me in the local museum. Told me as a kid that he and the curators suspected that Henry 8th had autism . I never knew what to believe with that

Despite knowing time periods in history, for some reason Tudor England and Renaissance artists have never lived in the same space in my brain & I had a full “wait, what” moment when you mentioned da Vinci
