Look at it this way, you only lost 66% of your dahlias in Michigan after a decade and a freakish climate year. That makes you some sort of plant wizard. Treat yourself to a tuber order so it doesn’t feel like a loss because I think it’s impressive!

I understand completely. I’ve been doing delis for four years. This is my first summer I had trips. I’ve been fighting them and it’s heartbreaking but I do think your situation is sadder. They’ll be beautiful next year.

We had a really warm winter once and my 70 David Austin’s never went dormant, and then we had a deep freeze in March and I lost them all. I snotty cried too, girl.
