Here in this small Chinese city, some people get a little too excited when they see a foreigner, and although it’s usually well-intentioned, it can sometimes feel a bit awkward. That’s why I appreciate places like this so much. Every time I come here, I’m treated like a regular customer rather than a curiosity. The food is fantastic, of course, but it’s the warm conversations, genuine hospitality, and down-to-earth atmosphere that keep bringing me back. There’s something special about sitting down in a cozy little eatery, sharing a few laughs, and feeling like part of the local community. For me, great food gets you through the door—but great people are what make you come back.
