amorim did all the prep and nasty work. Carrick Came at the right time but he is not someone who is going to win you trophies. looks like the board's priority is top 4, not winning trophies.

People are acting like Amorim was the only problem, but they forget the squad he inherited. We had young attackers with potential, but no experienced striker to consistently finish chances. Week after week we missed easy opportunities, and that’s not all on the coach. A lot of the issues started with poor squad building under Ten Hag. Too many “future potential” signings, not enough proven senior players to lead the front line. Compare that to now: Cunha, Mbeumo, Šeško… those are the type of profiles Amorim wanted. Even the way the team attacks now is completely different. People also forget we were playing guys like Zirkzee as a false 9 when United has always looked better with a real attacking presence up front. Amorim made mistakes too, every coach does, but judging him without looking at the squad situation is unfair. Chelsea went through the exact same thing with young attackers. Talent alone doesn’t guarantee goals or consistency overnight. The difference now is the club finally started making changes to fit the system. Amorim wanted to manage, not just coach quietly without influence. Big difference.

Its nice that Bruno is loyal to Amorim but Carrick made things simple. Amorim was stuck to his awful tactics playing players out of position. We lost 12 months with that man
