Its price is estimated to be 10 billion Turkish lira, and in dollar terms, 220 million dollars is estimated. Zeki Paşa Mansion was built for Tophane Commander Zeki Paşa at the end of the 19th century (around 1899) by the architect Alexandre Vallaury, featuring Baroque-influenced design. Unlike most yalıs, it was constructed with brick and mortar made to look like stone, and it has 5 floors with entrances from both the garden and the waterfront. The mansion was so magnificent that Zeki Paşa could only stay one night after its completion, as Sultan Abdulhamid II did not allow immediate occupancy. Later, the mansion was acquired by Sultan Vahdettin for his daughter, Sabiha Sultan, and for many years, it remained in the possession of the Bagitmar family.
