A now-viral video of the incident, posted on Jun. 4, appeared to show the motorcycle keeping pace with a high-speed train travelling alongside it. According to Chinese media reports, the train was travelling at around 284km/h. In a statement issued on Jun. 5, local traffic police said the rider had allegedly collaborated with someone on the train to film the video to gain online views and is suspected of exceeding the speed limit on the Quanzhou Bay Bridge.
