The Black Crowes scheduled a 50-stop tour with Jimmy Page, and cut the tour short after just 12 shows because Jimmy offered to write new music with the Crowes and the Robinson brothers said they weren't interested.

Crowes are still a great live band, but if they ever managed to reconcile with Gorman, it would be amazing. Chris, Rich, Sven, Ford, Gorman, Eddie… with Mona & Charity backing them up… that was my best version of the band.

I was a recent High School grad. They hit the scene, I was like “These guys are the 1970’s Rolling Stones.” and they were. Summer 1991, they played in heavy rotation on my Kenwood in my ‘84 Jeep CJ5.

Great interview. His logic here is pretty swampy. I’m not doing it for the money, but I’ll do it for the money if the money is right and I’ll take all the money if it gets everybody else out of the band so that I can keep doing it because I’m now making enough money to keep doing it.

I was there when they opened for ZZTop, when the tour was sponsored by Budweiser, and he was there rocking, without Budweiser as a sponsor. The Black Crowes were kicked off the tour that night in Knoxville. Lol. I just love the Black Crowes.

Just got my tickets to see them Sunday. Ive seen them twice before. Seen them with Jimmy Page. That was one of the best concerts I've been to. It was in a small place in NY. loved it! So glad that they played again together! 💙

According former drummer Steve Gorman, Chris demanded more of the $$$ generated by the band and wanted to make the other band members (except his brother) paid employees. Read Gorman’s book
