this is interesting because in California I don’t know any divorced arrangements where it doesn’t require that the child gets their own room at each home.

I would go full time to mom's and see dad on every other weekend but go back to mom's at night if possible if it is taken to court tell them you don't have a room at dad's and will have to sleep on the couch

In what world does it make the most sense for a 16y girl to share a room with 3 toddlers completely giving up her privacy? The toddlers aren't cleaning after themselves or going to bed by themselves, the parents will have full access to that room at any time. She's willing to have the smaller room, she's compromising and not even making a fuss over what her dad might expect of her regarding the care of the toddlers. If she gives in now she will be responsible for the toddlers whether she likes it or not. Also, stepmom wants the family to blend and cries about it but can't consider OP's comfort, privacy or even opinion regarding something that affects her? Good on OP for setting a boundary and sticking to it, NTA!
