Real talk, though - this may he a hot take, but I seriously think people shouldn’t wear religious symbols (even for purely aesthetic reasons) unless they themselves genuinely believe in what those symbols represent. This means I think someone shouldn’t wear a cross unless they actually believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Savior. It also means I don’t think someone should wear a pentacle unless they believe in witchcraft and/or magic, or a Star of David unless they believe in the tenets of Judaism, and so on. That said, I’m a little less that way about people wearing a pentagram (which is different from a pentacle in that a pentacle is a five-point star in a circle and a pentagram is a five-point star without a circle), simply because it’s been used by so many different groups for so many different things. Pagans have used it, philosophers and mathematicians have used it, and for a time it was even used by Christians and Jews.
