@acountydownunder: This isn’t a pretty video- so be kind. Yesterday I had a deadline for a brand I work for. I set my tripod up to begin filming before I went to work and just as I started, I received a message I wasn’t expecting. I knew I had to get this filming done, so I thought, I can edit and cut this, so no one will ever know. When I started to edit, I realised just how hurt I was. I couldn’t hide it in any of the edits and I was doing some serious breath work to try and stop crying .The clip wasn’t of any use. I knew deep down. ‘I can’t post this.’ But isn’t this what this page was always about? Keeping it real. There is something so beautiful about the subtle art of rising again after life knocks you down. We all have a moment where we have to put our adult pants on and say “I have to go to work”. So instead this isn’t the branded video it was intended to be. But I am so thankful for all the amazing makeup brands for helping us girlies put on a thick skin when we aren’t feeling up to it. For anyone who needs to here it, somedays just showing up when you’re broken, is sensational.
