@heatherashleemcdaniel: Same space, but a whole different vibe…like I actually WANT to spend time here now! 🧺 Our laundry room always felt like awkward leftover space in the house. Tiny, dark, horrible layout, zero storage, and basically a dumping ground for…everything. It was always easier to just shut the door rather than try and make it work. Honestly, I think a lot of builder-grade homes are like that. The laundry room gets the absolute bare minimum because “it’s just a laundry room.” But turns out, small spaces can still be really beautiful and cozy if you’re intentional with them. And weirdly enough, unstacking the washer and dryer is what made this room actually functional. I always assumed stacking them saved space, but having them side-by-side at a usable height, with one long countertop across the top, gave us SO much more practical space for folding laundry, storage, (decorating!) and everyday use. And bonus: the kids can actually reach both machines now, which feels an awful lot like “do your own laundry” to me 😎 Still the same tiny footprint…just finally feels cozy, functional, and finished 🤍 #laundryroommakeover #laundryroomdesign #buildergradehome #smallspaces #diyhomeprojects
