On a serious note, groceries are expensive. It’s very possible they are using what they have as best they can. We don’t know how much they have for food for the week.

Ugh all the nasty comments from people who have no idea your life. You did great! No one even considered dietary needs or preferences. Some days my husband fasts lunch, somedays I just have a protein shake. In my house we have a type one diabetic child and out of habit I count out everyone’s food now.
