@mimmumacrame: People of different ages in Finnish 🇫🇮 How do you say these in your language? 🤓 #creatorsearchinsights #finland #finnish #learningfinnish #learninglanguages
In English, a baby becomes a toddler when they toddle, or start to walk. I’ve notice in Finnish, people seem to switch at 1 year old regardless of what the child is doing!

There is no such a cute word for baby in Finnish? My girl tells me she don’t like when I call her “vauva” but she likes the “baby” in english

My grandma had us call her ämmi. She said it meant "old lady"??
in hunharian out toddlers call dog "vau-vau" - imitating how it barks.😜 funny to know babies in the norten Europe are called "vauva". 😃
in Romanian adding a "d", "văduva" is a widow, feminine.😜
