This is actually likely due to the Amazon budget and restrictions with large-scale animation and teams. Animating on your own, you don’t have a budget, you don’t pay yourself (typically) so you can do more or less. But with a team you have to pay, you are restricted to both what that team can do, and how much money you have to spend.

its so funny being old bc people used to shit on her art back then too. I tried to read her comic and wasn't a fan, so i looked it up to see if there was any discussion online and found an entire tumblr blog dedicated to hating her art, writing, everything she did 😭 this was over a decade ago now
