@whatsthatfilm_: 🎬Title: Dominion 🗓️Year: 2014 (Note: This was a highly stylized Syfy TV series rather than a standalone movie, serving as a direct sequel to the 2010 film Legion!) 🎖️Genre: Apocalyptic / Action / Fantasy / Sci-Fi ⏱️Runtime: 1h 25m (Pilot Episode) / 42m per episode Follow @solix for daily movie clips Story: Twenty-five years after God mysteriously vanishes from Heaven, the Archangel Gabriel leads an army of lower angels in a brutal, genocidal war to exterminate humanity. In the ruins of the old world, survivors have built fortified, high-tech cities to keep the threat at bay. In the walled metropolis of Vega (formerly Las Vegas), the Archangel Michael lives among humans, acting as their protector. But as political corruption threatens to tear the city apart from the inside, a rebellious young soldier discovers he is actually the prophesied "Chosen One"—the last hope to save mankind from total annihilation. Review: If you loved the dark, supernatural premise of the movie Legion, this series takes that concept and blows it up into an epic, dystopian sandbox. Dominion perfectly blends political intrigue (think Game of Thrones but with angels) and high-stakes supernatural action. The lore is incredibly deep—transforming standard angels into terrifying, black-eyed "Eight-Balls" that possess human bodies. Tom Wisdom is fantastic as the stoic, dual-blade-wielding Archangel Michael, and the power struggles within Vega keep you hooked between the action sequences. It’s a highly underrated, action-packed gem for anyone who loves dark fantasy and post-apocalyptic vibes. RATING: 8/10 🪽⚔️ #fyp #cinemalovers #movieexplained #horror
