yep! my favorite is "mom cafe" where I pretend I'm a restaurant owner and serve up their meals. it's left over night. but they get a "menu" to pick from and then I yell ORDER UP and serve them and ask them to give me 5 stars on yelp. 😂 and if they don't use manners, I tell them to get out of my restaurant and they think it's hilarious

One time I really needed to clean the house but I wanted to spend time with my 4 year old so we played “hotel” and she and I were best friend cleaning staff and kept calling each other “best friend” and we cleaned a few rooms and she wanted to do more. She even wrote about it in her Mother’s Day writing at school 😂🥹

My 9 month old was up 7 times last night teething. Instead of fighting putting her back down, I sat on our balcony with only the frogs in the background as she slept on my chest and in that moment, I knew I was making a memory I’d come back to at 80. I’m exhausted today but beyond grateful

My kid has a lot of energy when he gets home. So I told him because the dogs were home all day doing nothing they needed him to help them do “puppy P.E.” Which consists of him running around with them in the backyard. He loves it!

Oddity :
Dad and I used to have secret mornings where he would take me to school sneak off to a bakery get me a doughnut and a cookie before school and we wouldn’t tell mom so I had to eat it in secret and act like nothing happened as I got older I realize this was just kind of his excuse for giving mom some extra rest and relaxation in the mornings and also getting a chance to spend time with me since he’d usually be so busy at night but every now and then I’ll still bug him to go get Krispy Kreme with me

My mom used to wake us up in the middle of the night when it was first snow! We would go outside in the dark and play then go to ihop for pancakes. As an adult she would still call us “ wake up its first snow” and we jump up to look out the window.

About 2 months ago, I started Friday night movie nights, but I set everything up like a movie theater. I post the title of the movie, I set up a snack stand in the dining room, and our kids have movie tickets and snack vouchers they use to get into the movie and get food. They absolutely love it. Even my teenagers look forward to it. It’s a core memory for all of us ❤️

One morning we were SO late heading to school and I had to get gas. Told the kiddo if we got our shoes on quickly, we could take the bubble blower in the car and I’d put the windows down to blow bubbles while I pumped gas. That turned into keeping the bubble blower in the car and every time the traffic is at a standstill on the highway, we blow bubbles out the window. It helps make the traffic pleasant. 🫧 🫧🫧

When we were lil on Sundays trying to wake up our parents they would declare it was Sunday snuggle and we got in bed with them and usually fell back to sleep in their bed. Now I realize they wanted extra sleep on the weekend. 😂🥰

I took some plain sugar cookies and frosting to the park FOUR years ago and let the girls decorate them on a picnic blanket after playing and they still talk about it today like it was the best park day ever! 🤣❤️

You HAVE to romanticize your life!! It is so important. My friend would have elaborate pancake nights when funds were low. But she hyped it up so much that the kids think back on them as their favorite nights 💕
