Can I complain about the odyssey trailer for a second? Okay here we go. It looks just terrible and breaks my historian heart in.. well a lot of ways. Can someone explain to me why in the world all the statues that we see so far have no colour? Also: why is Odysseus using a Viking ship for all his travels?! Even if we’re ignoring the 3d-printed Batman armour, the modern language/slang used and whatever those people in metal armour were meant to be, this is ridiculous. So far the movie looks like a disservice to Emily Wilson’s book. The cast is promising (it’s just the men that were chosen that don’t really make sense to me) and I hope to god that they fix the language to be slightly less modern. My god.
