The flamingo land proposal was for a holiday/leisure park not a theme park. Very common misconception, but not true at all. They would have basically been building a fancier Center Parks

Now you know why locals don’t want Flamingoland and making the A82 dual carriageway all the way would be unaffordable even if it were a planning condition

It’s a HORRENDOUS road. Tourists driving 40mph, then add the average in makes it even worse! I try to avoid coming back into the city if I can. I’d rather shop at our local wee shop than come back and spend 1 hour / more stuck in traffic 🫠😂🤦🏽♀️

Living in the vale is a nightmare as soon as the weather gets nice. I got stuck after the Erskine bridge for ages. The area can’t handle the traffic we get to go to Balloch park 😂

The volumeof traffic in and around loch lomand is increasing significantly each year.I think it was transport Scotland who estimated that by 2030 it will become the norm to queue from Tarbet to the stoneymollen roundabout (balloch roundabout) to some. The glencoe area is beyond crazy when it comes to traffic volumes. It's fecked.

The A82 is just over the hill from me. All the locals avoid Loch Lomondside and A82 the minute the sun comes out.

it was ok at 8.30 coming back from Campbeltown. it was never going to be a theme park. its a hotel and lodges and the people coming there would be coming for a week or a fortnight its day trippers that cos the traffic.

i was going up north to do a hill at about 4pm there and i could not believe that queue. it felt endless. i'm glad i drove back at sunset it was minimal!!
