I’ve dyed a knitted cotton J crew cream color sweater into a bright green it turned out great. I also dyed a cardigan made out of Rowan Summerlite a purple that I think also turned out well. It’s worth the experiment imo! Just mix well at the beginning for the most even color.

It’s a shame you don’t have any of the yarn left to test with, otherwise the only thing I would suggest is start with the lightest amount as you can over dye to get it darker but there’s no going back if it’s too dark 😫 also I would suggest removing the buttons to avoid any potential chemical reaction. I've never dyed yarn, but I am planning on dying one of my sweaters because it had different dye lots and it's VERY obvious. I would love to see how your process goes and any tips you will have afterwards💕 and about your dress- I am in owe to see how well you took care of it, it looks great on you!! I personally like the denimcraric green 💚

I’ve dyed cotton denim with Rit dye. It’s very easy I recommend the stovetop method there are instructions on their website

If you have any of the yarn left try dying a test swatch to see how it take. Also presoak your fabric and never stop stirring.

I have never dyed this type of material before, but I love that you knitted this dress. It looks so beautiful even if you don't like white, that could be fixed. It's gorgeous. The pattern is gorgeous. Simple yet gorgeous

with lace do the darker color, lace makes everything look lighter as it is.
