This is for folks who generally get refunds. It makes sense to break even at the end of the year and not let the gov use your money when you can use it thru out the year. However, it is a nice to get a tax refund as it's like a forced savings and can be used for larger purchases.

Changing your withholding doesn't give you a wage increase, DUH. But it could make you have pay income tax when you file next year.
