@domaexp1: I’m not celebrating the murder of the Romanov family but like the romanticization of the Tsars as saintly martyrs purely because they were devout Christians feels overstated and selective. Nicholas II presided over a deeply unequal, autocratic system with widespread poverty, illiteracy, and repression. In contrast, the early Bolsheviks under Lenin introduced genuinely progressive social reforms for their era: they decriminalized homosexuality, legalized abortion, expanded divorce rights, promoted women’s legal equality and workforce participation, and launched aggressive literacy and education campaigns. Lenin never gave the order for them to be killed btw. Also Russia was invaded by 14 different countries and they still won. They were like "omg no they're giving women rights! We have to stop communism!"
