I hate that goodwill has always been greedy but like evily so now, side note I use the grey reusable ball lids for my mason jars. I love them. They also fit some spaghetti jars.

At every thrift store in my area, nationwide chain or local chain, one standard mason jar like that ranges from $2.99-$7.99 per jar. I’ve literally seen a Dollar Tree jar ($1.25) be sold for $3.00. THREE WHOLE DOLLARS PLUS TAX!!!!

please sterilize the crap out of those. you don't know what was used in those. I bought brand new but I pickle so I use jars a lot!! but I'm saying..... you only paid 80 cents more together. girl it's alright!!

at this point I've just been keeping my pasta sauce jars. and you can just buy the mason jar lids on their own. and sometimes even with the lids the sauce jar comes with they can re seal from heat as well. js 😅

Here in western Massachusetts nowhere near any huge metro areas they would be $5-8 a piece for those… I tried finding a little one like a 8-12oz one a couple months ago and it literally was $5… I took it to the register and asked if they’d do $1 for it and thankfully they did but I was like damn that is outrageous. I could get 12 of them at Walmart for $12 with tax.

I started working at a Salvation Army (I desperately needed a job, I do not support them) and my store is RIDICULOUS. We’re not even allowed to sell shoes for under $14. My store is also attached to a rehabilitation center, and most of our customer base is either homeless, or struggling financially.
