This is such a good message. Raising teenagers and young adults is the hardest stage IMO because so much is out of your control.

let's talk about toxic teen relationships...i am surprised that no one is really addressing that. this is just 1 case there are more. thats why we need to help children teens and young adults understand

You have to teach your kids to have boundaries and values and that it's OK to walk away from somebody who violates those.

And this is one of the reasons I created Growing Through It, Besties — a journal and book designed for Black teen girls that shares real stories from teenagers, meaningful lessons, and gentle prompts for reflection and healing. These conversations aren’t happening enough in the Black community, and I wanted to create a space where girls feel seen, heard, supported, and reminded that they’re not navigating life alone.💜

Listen!!! My daughter is 13. She’s had her friends since about 3-4th grade. I call them the “geek squad”. They act their age. They always make honor. And they play games on their iPads together during the summer. I love those girls. 💕💕💕

They are all over 20 now except Dom and Davion of course but she kept them from aging forever. She is almost 22. She turned 18 two days after the crash in the hospital.
