@confidencebuiltthis: So much wasted time… If only I learned about this years ago. Pool chlorine…did anyone else know about this? I’d definitely recommend trying this yourself. Just be warned it’s addicting af. If I don’t post anything for a while…I’m busy spraying any wood that crosses my path. Follow the story of a guy just figuring it out. #notbornhandy #learningasigo #selfreliance #DIY #confidencebuiltthis
Does anyone know if this would work on concrete patios?

Does the bleach at that percentage impact plants/ grass? Does it get into the water table?

Jimmie :
There is deck cleaner that is specifically made for this, has additional additives that will kill the mould and algae. Using a pressure washer on a deck will damage the fibres of the wood and the top layer will get rough over time and will need sanding.

great job, Now seal the decking when its dry and it would be alot easier next time cleaning. Pour the sealant into the pressure sprayer and apply🤝

After spraying it use a hard bristle brush on a mop handle and scrub it. Comes out even better you can see the dirt and grime come right off.

Won’t the bleach strip off all the chemicals used to pressure treat the wood ?

But if u read the manual, why are you using the sprayer like that? Pump it, lock it, then spray away. No need to keep pumping as you spray

i use this process when staining decks. i give it a good wash with a pressure washer first. but not a direct spray. just enough to let the water soak in real good. then use the shock. 1:1 is the way to go. then with the rinse i give it a good direct spray with yellow tip or green tip depending on how bad it is. but still about 8"-10" away from the wood as to not burr it up too bad. then give it a couple days to dry. then sand and apply your favorite stain. i use dek by sico. best and most durable oil based stain on the market in my opinion.

pressure wash it after still get anything else from the surface off then put a wood sealer on it. re seal it every 2 to 4 years then every 10 you can do a deeper clean a light sand and re seal or this again

Be careful PWing wood. Use a low pressure or you’ll “fuzz” out the fibers.

Don’t use bleach on wood. Dries it out so much. Your wood won’t last long
