Snake keepers get asked pretty often if they can keep multiple snakes in the same enclosure, which is a fair question! There are multiple reasons why this isn’t best practice (amongst most species of reptiles in general). For starters, different species of snakes can be from opposite ends of the world and have completely different care requirements, including heat/lighting/humidity etc. These animals can also be very territorial, and will defend their space from other animals they believe are overstaying their visit. This can lead to retaliation and defensive behaviors that have potential to seriously harm your snakes. While this isn’t ALWAYS the case, it’s better and safer to keep your snakes separated. What questions do you guys have regarding this topic?
