Newborns are incredible. They can do this within the first hour of delivery. Every time I watched it happen I was blown away. I worked as a lactation consultant for a time and it truly is a miracle.

She was lucky to have you as her baby’s nurse. You were her miracle, too. You knew exactly what that dyad needed. Not many nurses would have taken the time to do that. What a beautiful miracle to witness. 🥰

As a former nursery nurse I’ve seen things too! Even tho mom was unconscious, I’m sure she knew her baby was there..I’ve also seen moms so sick after birth and when they’re with their baby they seem to get better a lot faster. There’s healing powers between a mom her baby for sure 🥰

Those instincts and reflexes to do the breast crawl, root, and latch are so strong. Especially when the baby is really determined. I am sure that that was magical. Hopefully mom recovered and everybody went onto. Have a wonderful life.
