My DZ senior gift (small, non SEC university) was a sweet, hand painted teacher door hang and a gift bag of classroom supplies (I was graduating with my teaching degree), so they did it all based on something with your degree/career. Was it crazy expensive? No. But like you said, it’s the thought and intention behind it that counts!

Crazy to imply you’re spoiled for wanting something personal. Literally go to Etsy and type in “personalized sorority gift” or “meaningful gifts” and you have pages on pages with a literal price filter if you want to stay in a budget.

You are SO nice to suggest all this. I feel so bad that the moment was ruined for your group. Make sure you get yourself something to memorialize the moment, so its not a sore subject forever. This stuff literally happens to me all the time. My dad scheduled an event over my senior tennis awards ceremony. My mom's camera and phone died right on graduation day. You are handling it way better than I did.

For my equestrian teams senior gift we got a gold bar necklace with the coordinates of the barn on one side and the team name on the other from Etsy. $12 and I still wear it every day 4 years later (hasn’t even tarnished either)

I am 46, and I still have my pillowcase and a champagne flute. Another great option is the chains they sell to turn your pin into a pendant, so you can wear it when you might not want to wear a pin
