I have this same problem but I also have the same face syndrome. I can't make unique faces but when I try to draw the same character for some reason I can suddenly make new faces like WHAT!

I always give my characters really specific face details to help, like my one character has a round face shape and her eyes are kinda flat on top and droop on the outside bottom, she’s also got a big bump in her nose
