I hope she does go more into it, we gotta wait for the whole project but there’s plenty of incredible rock groups who make more generally softer etheral rock vibes and why is she not aloud to do that? I just find it intresting how convoluted critique gets when someone claims to take rock vs pop inspo and I think it’s exactly what she’s challenging, I don’t think she’s trying to do full rock, shes always mixed genres it’s more down the lane of a hyperpop rock fusion, like Yeule, underscores, frost childeren, even the recent slayyyter album, why do we only want loud rock from her? Just cause it’s the closest to edm? I think this song is so interesting lyrically and in its teasing of a build up, it fits the sombr lyrics and we were ok with that when grunge bands of that but why not Charli? I think it’s a matter of also the full project isn’t out, but hey some people want loud from their rock which is fine
