@coffeewithsimon: People can tell when you know how to lead a meeting. Not because you talk the most. Because the room feels clearer after you speak. That’s one of the most useful things I learned at Microsoft. Great leaders don’t just run meetings. They help people understand why they’re there, what matters, and what needs to happen next. For everyday meetings like kickoffs, project updates, weekly syncs, and cross-collab meetings, there are 3 techniques I still use today: 1) Start with the purpose.
Is this to inform, align, or decide? 2) Lead through people, not slides.
Bring the right voices in at the right moments. 3) Close with clarity.
What was decided? Who owns what? By when? A good meeting doesn’t create more things to think about. It creates fewer things to guess. 📌 Send this to yourself before your next meeting. ✨Comment BOOK if you want to show up with more confidence and communicate in a way companies and leaders actually reward.✨ #careeradvice #careertips #careergrowth #leadership #leadershipdevelopment

What happens if you are trying to lead but people don’t show because they are busy? So then you take on doing everything?
